Good care, but almost double the price of other clinics. This plus a healthy dose of "isn't YOUR pet worth the little extras" on the video at the front desk certainly adds to the pressure. We all want to provide proper and timely care for our pets: we love them. But the guilt trip to have "top of the line" care which may not contribute significantly to your pet's quality of life isn't appreciated. I used to visit this vet when he was starting out. Now my fees are paying for a fancy building and what are, in my opinion, perhaps not the most justified standard of care for a pet. For example, blood work is useful as a baseline, then as an occasional test. It isn't necessary every 6 months. And the other thing to think about is this: IF the test is "indicative" of something, what exactly are you prepared to do about it? Sometimes it really IS better to watch, wait and treat pets with respect rather than overtest, overdiagnose and overtreat, all at my expense. I have found another vet for my multipet household and couldn't be happier with the standard of care they receive at less than half the cost.
